Rachel Ward is the Atlanta Tequila Brand Champion who works to promote Tequila Herradura and el Jimador. Tequila Herradura and el Jimador are owned by Brown-Forman who also owns Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey.

Rachel came to South Carolina to work with Tequila Ambassador Maria Jose Lehman.   They visited key accounts in the upstate and presented tequila staff trainings to about 30 people throughout the day.   We sat with Rachel and she showed us what sets Tequila Herradura apart from any other tequilas in the market:

  1. History and Heritage: Herradura is made at Casa Herradura in Amatitán, Jalisco.  Casa Herradura is the last true hacienda on the planet. Each bottle of Tequila Herradura is hand-crafted using traditional production methods since the year 1870.
  2. Quality of Tequila: Made from estate owned blue Weber agave. All Herradura and el Jimador tequilas are 100% blue Weber agave.
  3. Complex and full bodied flavors: Herradura Tequila expressions are aged longer than the industry standard.

Each year, since 2012, a new and innovative expression of Tequila Herradura is released as a part of our Colección de la Casa.  This fall’s limited edition release is a port cask finished Reposado. Tequila Herradura Reposado, aged 11 months, has been aged an additional two months in renowned port cask barrels for an increased complexity in flavor.
